THK linear motion systems are unique motion systems in which linear motion is supported by rolling contact elements. These linear motion systems can best be described as a motion system which uses the rotational motion principle of a deep grooved ball bearing. This principle makes it the easiest to use and most economical of all rotational motion ina bearings.

Since the balls employed as rotating elements are set in raceways having an almost equal radius to the balls that rotate in them, the contact between the balls and the circular arc raceway is changed from conventional point contact to a line contact. This line contact system means that THK LM Guides can handle 13 times the work load and last 2,200 times longer than conventional linear guide ways (round shafts) of the same ball diameter.

Use these guides for a variety of installation directions. The 45-degree contact angle offers 4-way equal load ratings.Best suited for horizontal guideways, the Type SSR guide features a low-profile, compact design with a 90-degree ball-contact angle.A wider rail for extra rigidity in all directions. All moment loads skf bearings are handled by a single rail.Miniature version of our standard LM Guide. Choose either a 1-block or 2-block per rail configuration.
